Chicken and Chorizo Paella

Transport yourself to the port of Valencia with this delicious traditional Spanish dish!



  • 300g paella rice
  • 100g frozen peas
  • 200g peeled and cooked prawns, frozen
  • 70g chorizo, chopped
  • 2 chicken thighs, chopped
  • 1 chicken stock cube
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon tomato puree
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
  • 1 handful chopped parsley
  • 750ml water




  1. Heat the olive oil in a large paella pan, and add the chicken and chorizo.
  2. Add the garlic, parsley, paprika and onion, and fry for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the bell pepper and fry for another 20 minutes.
  4. Add the tomato puree, stock cube and rice, and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Stir in the water, bring the mixture to the boil, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Add the peas and prawns, and cook until they are hot.
  7. Serve with lemon wedges to garnish- and enjoy!
