German Hot Dogs
Enjoy this recipe for delicious German hot dogs with hot dogs/ sausages of your choice- the perfect accompaniment for match day!
INGREDIENTS
- 10 hot dogs
- 10 hot dog buns
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 300ml larger
- 1 can sauerkraut
- German mustard to garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
- The night before you plan to serve your hot dogs, place them in a plastic container and top with the onion, beer and sugar to create a marinade.
- Refrigerate your hot dogs overnight.
- The next day, drain the marinade into another container.
- Combine the marinade and sauerkraut in a pan, and simmer your hot dogs in the mixture for around 15 minutes.
- Remove the hot dogs from the pan and place in your buns, add the sauerkraut mixture on top.
- Serve with the German mustard- enjoy!
