Melt In The Mouth Slow Cooked Pork Casserole
Autumn was made for comfort food, especially as the darker nights draw in. For a super simple family dinner even the kids will love, try this melt in the mouth pork casserole. Cooked low and slow for 6 hours, it’s a hearty meal to come home to after a long day that pairs deliciously well with mashed potato and a hunk of crusty bread slathered in butter.Â
What You’ll Need
- 5 pork chops (diced)Â
- 100g mushroomes (thinly sliced)Â
- 1 onion (chopped)Â
- 100g frozen peas
- 1 generous handful of fresh spinachÂ
- 2 carrots (chopped)
- 2 x 400g tins of chopped tomatoesÂ
- 1tbsp tomato pureeÂ
- 2 garlic cloves (crushed)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)Â
- 100ml waterÂ
Method
- Prep all ingredients as aboveÂ
- Place all ingredients into a slow cookerÂ
- Turn on highÂ
- Cook for 6 hoursÂ
- Serve with mashed potatoes, rice or pasta.
