Sesame Chicken with Soy Dip
Our easy Sesame Chicken with Soy Dip gives your chicken breasts an extra crunch and adds a rich flavour.
What You’ll Need:
1 ½ cups of breadcrumbs
1 tbsp caster sugar
3 tbsp sesame seeds
Juice of a lemon, plus extra to serve
Juice of a lime, plus extra to serve
1 tsp five-spice
3 tbsp of soy sauce
4 skinless chicken breasts
2 cups of tenderstem broccoli
1 egg
What To Do:
1.) Preheat your oven to 200°C / 180°C fan / gas mark 6 then line a baking tray with baking parchment. Mix your sesame seeds, breadcrumbs, and five-spice in a shallow dish or plate. Beat the egg in a separate container. Use kitchen towel to pat the chicken breasts dry, and squash them slightly flat. Dip the chicken breasts in the egg, then into the breadcrumb mixture to coat them thoroughly. Bake for 25-30 minutes until completely cooked through and golden.
2.) When you have about five minutes left on the chicken, boil the broccoli until a little tender, then drain. Mix the lemon and lime juice with the soy sauce and set aside in a separate dish to serve. Serve the chicken with the broccoli, and lemon and lime wedges to squeeze over the top.
