Succulent Slow Cooker Steak

With unpredictable weather all around us, set yourself a great warming meal to come home to. Our great cuts of steak are perfect for this slow cooker steak. Serve on soft buttery mash for a truly warming meal.
INGREDIENTS
2 lb. cube steak (about 4 pieces)
2 tsp. kosher salt
1 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 large yellow onion, sliced into 1/4″ rings
1 (2-oz.) packet onion soup mix
1 c. low-sodium beef broth
1/4 c. cold water
2 tbsp. cornstarch
Potatoes, mashed for serving

Method
1. Season steaks with salt and pepper. Add to slow cooker along with garlic powder, onion, onion soup mix, and beef broth.
2. Set slow cooker to low for 8 hours.
3. 1 hour before you’re ready to serve, mix cold water and cornstarch in a small bowl and stir into slow cooker. Cook on high until gravy has thickened, stirring periodically.
4. Serve over Mashed Potato for a hearty winter meal.
